Day One - Friday & Latham Break the Ice

Clearwater, Fla. – After a foggy morning and a quick-strike afternoon, Mike Friday and Danny Latham carried a slim lead after a Day One of the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup All-Star Ice-Breaker that saw about half the 30-team field remain in strong contention.

Friday and Latham's 13.73-pound tally was a tailfin heavier than the 13.61 pounds that Craig Johnson and John Ochs brought in, and less than 3.5 pounds more than the 13th place team brought to the stage.

Day Two - Watts Brothers on Top in All Stars

Clearwater, Fla. – Greg Watts called it the “golden hour.” C.A. Richardson said it amounted to a 15-minute window at midday.

For both anglers' teams, the sliver of time during which they were able to boat redfish in a decisive second day of the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup All-Star Ice-Breaker was enough to advance to the final day of competition, where at least $60,000 will await the winning team.

Day Three - A Long Time Coming

Clearwater, Fla. – It was when Craig Johnson and John Ochs, so sunburnt his lips were split open, weighed in with a mere 5.04 pounds that the Watts brothers knew their drought was about to end.

To that point, the heaviest weight to cross the stage on the final day of the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup All-Star Ice-Breaker had been the 10.04 pounds that the Watts' friends Jim Franklin and Brian Fornea snared. But Greg and Bryan Watts knew they had more than 10 pounds.
