KEMAH, Texas --- If everything is big in Texas, everything is bigger in Kemah, Texas.

After Day One action at the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup, the top five teams brought in bags well over 15 pounds. Jim Hampton and Forrest Vollentine hold down that spot with a whopping 15.94 pounds, a total that would command the lead in a typical redfish event.

Day Two - Friends in High Places

KEMAH, TEXAS --- The two top teams in the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup OPEN at Kemah, Texas share a big history together. A history going back to the fourth grade, to be specific. And with two-day totals weighing in at a whopping 35.35 and 34.56 pounds respectively these anglers can say they have even more in common.

Blaien Friermood and Robert Scherer are leading the event with 35.35 pounds, followed by Mickey Eastman, Sr. and Wayne Webb in second with 34.56 pounds. Ralph Frazier and Richard Freund are third with 32.91 pounds.

Day Three - Captains of Consistency

KEMAH, Texas --- Clearly, there's something in the water around Trinity Bay. On Sunday, teammates Robert Scherer and Blaien Friermood revisited these waters to capture their first win at Kemah in the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup OPEN.

Sunday's weight of 17.67 pounds capped a tournament for the local Baytown team that saw three bags that weighed over 17 pounds. With days one and two resulting in a 17.65 and 17.70, respectively, the three monster stringers only varied by a mere five ounces.
